Fire Adapted Communities

Overview

Across the country, wildfires are an inevitable fact of life. Yet, many communities remain unprepared to protect their homes and neighborhoods. Every state has a significant number of areas that are at risk for wildfire damage, and community members need to learn how to best prepare for the inevitable.

The Fire Adapted Communities PSA campaign educates residents of fire prone areas on how to take proactive steps to improve the safety and resiliency of their communities to withstand wildfire. The campaign ads raise awareness that taking proactive measures now can help minimize the damage later, and feature the tagline “Prepare. Protect. Prevail.”

The campaign directs audiences to FireAdapted.org for tips, tools, and resources on how to safely co-exist with wildfires.
