Don’t Be Afraid to Get Tested for HIV,
National Association of People With AIDS
NAPWA’s television and web PSAs educate Americans about the importance of getting
tested for HIV. The PSAs feature youth that share their experience on taking an HIV
test and provide telephonic and web-based resources for local HIV testing and care
facilities including a toll-free, bilingual CDC Call Center 1.800.232.4635; the webbased
www.hivtest.org site that features a national database of local HIV testing sites;
and the KNOWIT CEL texting program where individuals text their local zip code to
KNOWIT (566948) and receive HIV testing site information on their phone.
