Heidi Arthur
Chief Campaign and Program Officer
Heidi Arthur is the Chief Campaign and Program Officer at the Ad Council, the national nonprofit working across advertising, tech, media, marketing and philanthropy to accelerate change around the country’s most pressing issues.
With more than 25 years of experience, she brings together leading creative agencies, corporate brands, media and technology platforms and nonprofit and government partners to drive public education, awareness and action.
Heidi currently oversees the organization’s large-scale mental health efforts—one of the most ambitious initiatives in the Ad Council’s history, in addition to national campaigns including the Emmy-winning Love Has No Labels, Alzheimer’s Awareness, Lung Cancer Screening and Type 2 Diabetes Prevention. Additionally, Heidi co-led the Ad Council’s groundbreaking COVID-19 Vaccine Education Initiative, which helped build public trust and reduce vaccine hesitancy nationwide. Her campaigns have received numerous accolades and awards, including Cannes Lions, Effies and Clios.
To help ensure continued creative excellence across the organization, Heidi co-leads the Ad Council’s Creative Review Committees, made up of nearly 30 top agency leaders from across the industry. These committees meet regularly to review, refine and raise the bar on the Ad Council’s social impact campaigns.
Heidi joined the Ad Council in 2000 after spending 10 years in the ad industry at Grey and Wells, Rich, Greene. She is a graduate of Union College and has a Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility from Harvard Business School.
She currently serves as a member of Baylor College School of Medicine’s Board of Advisors, and the Association of National Advertisers SAMA Advisory Board.
